| | Fish Lore Newbie | Hello Hello everyone,
I just wanted to say how helpful this site has been to me already (set up my tank Sept. 11). It's nice to have so much information readily available when you are just a beginner. I started off with a 5 gallon tank and quickly learned you can't have too much going in such a little space. So, I talked my husband into getting a 28 gallon and I'm so glad we did. With the help of this site I have two cycled tanks: 3 African Dwarf frogs in the 5 gallon and in the 28 gallon we have 5 Mickey Mouse Platys, 6 Neon tetras, and a powder blue Dwarf Gourami. I want to eventually replace all my fake plants with real ones and currently have Hornwort in my 28 gallon. Thanks and I would appreciate any advice given. Any idea of their gender? The one in the front looks female to me. |

| | Fish Lore Newbie | Lol, two of them definitely like to eat. I believe all 3 are females. I don't see the glands near their front legs that males are supposed to have. |

Take a look at the first pic in this thread: From Amplexus to Froglet
Th one on top is obviously a male, but you can barely see the little pink spot right behind his arm. |

| | Fish Helper | Hi Switty22,
Welcome to fishlore.... Great looking tanks! When you change to real plants, you are going to love it. It rewarding (as with fish) to watch them grow and keep them alive!! Good luck; please post pictures when you have them.

| | Fish Lore Newbie | Lucy- I don't know how old they are. I bought them in September from Petsmart and they were a lot smaller than they are now lol. But they were definitely not as small as your cute litte tadpole!
Lorabell, Robin4, and Borisbbadd- Thanks for the nice welcome! |

| | Fish Helper | Welcome. This place has helped me tons too. Only advice I have for you is to watch your hornwort... mine's tripled in size in less than a month to the point where I just couldn't keep up with it. I wish I could've, I like hornwort. |
