Hi,
I am new fish owner in NZ and wonder if I can use artesian water for tropical fish.
Back in my old home town (Malaysia) well water are always good for aquarium fish and wonder if it is the same for artesian water in Wgtn NZ.

I'm not really sure what you mean about Artesian water.* Is it bottled?* If possible, it's best to use straight tap water unless you have serious issues with ammonia, nitrates, or heavy metals.* Here in the U.S., if folks don't have well water, they treat it with a water conditioner for chlorine and/or chloramines.* *

About artesian water.

From wikipedia.
"An artesian aquifer is a confined aquifer containing groundwater that will flow upwards out of a well without the need for pumping."

There an artesian outlet not far from my workplace and it is as good if not better than most bottle mineral water. Just though maybe it is a better water source for my small tank. Real pristine water

I have used well water here for 27 years.
I VASTLY prefer it to city water.
