Hey, a Malaysian! YAY! It's so great you're starting with this hobby and building yourself a tank. But define build, you wanna start an 'already made' tank and get it running with water and fishies or you actually wanna DIY build it? haha

Hi Himira, and welcome to Fishlore! I don't want to put you off, but you might be better off getting a secondhand tank at first, if this is going to be your very first attempt at fishkeeping, and start off slowly. Once you get comfortable with what you're doing, you'll get a better idea of what you want.
If you are going to the trouble of building a tank, the size would be dictated very much by the type of fish you intend to keep. Good luck, and look forward to your new venture.
