Hi all, I'm new to Fish Lore

Hi all, I'm new to Fish Lore and i cant wait to start picking brains and checking out all your pics. It's been a while since I've had my tanks up and running but I'm in the process of gathering equipment for my new setup witch i hope to have in full swing in a month or two. I have three 200 litre tanks (one will be the sump) that will be placed on top of each other (in a home built stand) that will be connected with overflows so water flows from top tank to middle tank to sump and then pumped back up to the top tank.
any advice and comments will be greatly appreciated.
thanks and once again Hi all from Scott H in Tasmania, Australia

Hi maddisiana, well the reason i came up with this setup was so i could have large and/or mean fish (Oscar, pleco...) in the top tank and little friendly fish (guppies, platies, bristle nose cats...) in the middle tank.

Cool setup, but I think Oscars will get to big for a 200litre

i have had an Oscar in a 55gal tank before and he seemed happy enough though he didn't get to full size (had to give him away... moved house) but if it doesn't work out i have got a spare tank that i could set up for him to have by himself

Oh, ok. I just read you mentioning that you wanted Oscars and plecos.etc so thats why I thought the 200litre would be too small. I have never kept Oscars but I think the minimum size tank is 55gal for 1 oscar.
