sup guys

hey i live in miami florida iv never own a fish tank all iv had are fighter fish in littel bowls im thinking about geting into the hobby im kinda on a tight budjet but im going to be saving up prepar to asner alot of qestion cuse iv been reading but i still have alot of things i need help in

It is superb to have you join us! By the way, freshwater tanks are much cheaper and easier for beginners.

i know fresh water is easyer but i just love the look of coral and anemone and the clown fish swiming in it i alos dont mind working alot to get my tank right im gunna be working on week ends and m8t be geting a job during the week if i get the job during the week that 100 bucks i will have a week i just have no idea how much thish could cost me i have a frind who offerd me his tank with evrything fileters lights i thini its a 50 gal tank he told me 400 is that a fair price?

Welcome to FishLore! It's great to have you with us! Definately do your research before setting up any tank whether it's fresh or salt. There are many colorful fish to choose from if you want a lot of color in your tank if you choose to start with fresh. You also can have live plants in your tank, and many of them are other colors besides just green. If you go into the beginners forum, you will see a sticky for "FishLore Articles for Beginners". That is a good place to start on your new adventure. The Conscientous Marine Aquarist is a highly recommended book from another site I frequent to get you started in setting up a marine tank.
