New here but an Old Hand

Hi all. I am new here but not new to fish. I have kept fish for about 50 years but only started back up about 6 years ago. I am presently looking after 16 tanks from 10 to 120 gallons in size. I also set up a stock tank each spring to use as a pond. My main focus right now is livebearers, especially goodeids. I am rather active on a couple of other sites so you may recognize my name from one of them. Some of my comments can be very direct when analyzing a problem so please let me know if I manage to offend anyone.

Welcome to fishlore! I would love to see pics of some of the livebearers that you keep. I have not gotten into livebearers very much yet, but I have considered raising them in my pond over the summer

I try to limit my tank pictures to those that are pertinent to the subject. Last night I already posted a couple in the sexing livebearers section because I noticed that the existing topic only addressed Poeciliid type livebearer sexing and was missing goodeid sexing information. I am not a tank decorator but always try to have some plant material in my tanks. Because I am trying to breed livebearers, I always need a place in the tank for them to hide so I often just have a clump of java fern in a tank. I must admit it doesn't lend much beauty to the tank but it helps the fry survive and thrive. Water changes do take some time, as some have speculated. I often devote a weekend morning to water changes and get it all done at once. While working with my buckets and gravel vac, I am almost unaware of the time passing. I am focused on getting the gravel clean, not on the time, so the time just rolls by.
