Joining in...

Greetings to all,

Another 'newbie' who just joined.

No real questions at this time, hanging around cycling my new tank. (10 gal )
Had to do a 'fish' cycle, long story as to why, but he seems to be handling the stress. Just one platy. Plan to keep population small after cycling or just the one platy.

Reading as much as I can. Just when I think I'm heading in the right direction, read something else, so going with a 'middle of the road' approach.

Got nothing but time, (for water changes) and trying to do the right thing. Since this was a kit, have been upgrading power filter, lighting, heater, etc.

Back to my research...

(I just tell him to hang in there, things will get better!)

Welcome to Fish Lore

Isn't it great to see what works and doesn't work for people in the hobby?
Water changes will get Mr. (or is it Mrs.) Platy through the cycle.

Good luck and enjoy the forum.

Thanks for the welcome.

Think it's a male ( spike behind anal fin ) if not, probably won't have another platy in the tank. Had him about a month and not getting fat!
