Hi Ian,
Well, there are a few things I do when taking photos of my fish. One is to use the 'sport' option on the camera with the stop action on it, it helps with those fast fish.
Another thing I find is taking photos at night. Then you dont have to worry about all the glare and reflections.

Use the macro setting with the flash on and tilt the camera down at the glass......
