Hello from Minnesota...

Hello, I got some new fish and decided to join a forum about them.
We've had a 30 gallon for a long time, changing out fish every 2 years or so.
Our fish lived pretty long, longer than what their supposed to...no offense to anyone but we had 4 fruit tetras and they would never die! geesh, they were like 2-3 years old *sigh* I thought they were the ugliest things ever lol (they got a new home though). In case I don't have the fish list I just typed out below me somewhere, here are my fish:

2 blue gourami's: Robin Hood & Maiden Marian (male?)
1 7 inch common pleco: Leo
4 neon's
1 male zebra danio (will get 3 more soon so he's not lonely)
1 female ringed crayfish, Gloria (MO species lol)
1 female silver-tipped tetra (forgot her!)

ya know the crayfish? we had another, bigger one (female, yes) and it ate 4 of our 5 silver-tipped tetras! poor little girl, her nickname is candy-corn fish, she's pretty faded.

edit: *gasp* I forgot my precious cories!!

2 male peppered, Hakuna & Matata lol
2 female? (just got them and Marian) bronze, Pontiac and Mercury
I may get two more, albinos? and name them Hershey and Nestle (I loooove pairing names )

Can't wait till I get my new camera, I see pics on here of fish that clearly show them, but this camera will do for now.

Anyone else have pics of their fishes they'd like to share?

What kinds of fish do you like? I know most of us have more pics of our fish than our kids LOL

I was planning on getting an oscar, sooo gorgeous but it didn't work out. Besides them, I also like rainbow sharks (albino 'specially) bettas (I am never fascinated enough with all the colors)

I also wanted to know if Robin was actually female.
The LFS (who took excelent care of their fish, not like anything I'd ever seen) had a male, long fin, dark (breeding?) colors, no spots left and was chasing the other two females(?) around the tank. So I got one of the females, yes, Marian. (shorter fin, yellow at the bottom of both of them) Marian has been nipped at by Robin alot, expected and is calming down. But Robin's fin is not nearly as long as the fish at the LFS. And they both look the same only Robin's older and a little bigger.

I think I have the same camera, is it a Nikon? My neons will never stay still for a good pic.

A lot of us have pics on our profiles or links on our signatures. Just click on our names and click view public profile. Or check out the gallery and the member's tank section

What kind of rock is that? I think I have some laying around.

Nice tank, thanks for sharing your pictures. Leo is huge!
