I' had a lot of problems with saltwater when I fist started and it is better to buy saltwater if you don't want much trouble. All my fish except for one died last time
but I am now ready to get more fish. That time my lighting thing fell and it had plenty
of salt so the specific gravity went very high. Now things are normal

Good night FishLore I had a nice first day

I'll come back tomorrow to this thread and answer stuff

good luck with that peter

It is a great difference so you should just keep reading and you can cycle with fish if you buy your salt to make saltwater but they might die

I'll come back the morrow next

Hi Jonathan, This part of the forum is just for saying hi and introducing yourself, that's probably why no one is adding anything except for hello's and welcomes.

Can't wait to see your salt water pics, it's nice your uncle will let you borrow his camera, but this is probably the wrong part of the forum for that.
They'll get more views and comments here:

http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/members-fish-tanks/

It's fun to put your pics in folders on your profile too.

I advise you buy the saltwater when you start so you wont have much trouble because when I set my tank up I had to add the salt and I cycled with fish and some survived. When you buy water to add you can add fish right away.
