Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm so glad to find such an informative site!!!
I'm Aly from Indiana and I just started the fishkeeping hobby about a month ago. Actually, I had a 29 gallon tank about 16 years ago when I was 10, but I didn't know what I was doing
. My hubby and I were looking on Craigslist for a fishtank and found a lady that was moving and wanted to get rid of hers. It was a 55gallon tank with an oak stand and canopy, rena filter, heater, etc. We got it for $250 which I thought was an awesome deal!! Oh we got her fish too; a pleco, 2 mollys, 3 corys, and 3 black skirt tetras. We brought it home and set it up and I've been on this site getting information ever since!! The nice thing was that her rena had been running for awhile so I got lots of good bacteria to get it started.
My hubby and I had our first child, a baby girl named Ava on 12/9/07 so we're so proud to be new parents!
Well I guess that's all but I already have lots of questions so I'm sure I'll see you all around!!
