Hello everybody!
I decided to join the forum today after using FishLore for research more times then you can shake a stick at. I just took out my old 10 gallon tank, and decided to hook er up. Things are going smoothly, I hope to add my first fish in about 5 days, after the filter can run for a little while. I'm from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada, and would like to say a big HOW-DEE to all the Scotianers who decided to raise fish instead of catching them, like me.
Can't wait to learn more.

Hey guys nice to see lots of Canadian faces here. I would love to get a Red Tailed shark, maybe some guppies to keep things lively. I had fish when I was younger, but This is the first time I'm taking on a tank by myself.

Well I'm saying HOW DEE back at cha! Uh Oh, red tail shark? aren't those the ones that get to be 12" long oh well if those are the big growing kind, you can get more/bigger tanks for 'em, good ole MTS like alot here know from experience.

I'm from Nova Scotia as well (Dartmouth).

BTW I once had a red-tail shark but they are active and fast swimmers that they are best suitable in bigger tanks as they need lots of swimming space. They often chase their tankmates (even on african cichlids). They're some pretty though but active.
