Hi Guys and Gals! I am having troubles with the terms. I currently have a 20 gal with
440 PPM Ca
GH >1000 ppm
KH 140 ppm
pH is 8.4

I started out with a 350 ppm Ca reading and since I just put in some corals I wanted to raise the calcium. Now my Ca range is great but the Ph and GH readings are bad (aren't they?)

Is this a buffering issue and also how do I get things back to normal? Are my fish in danger?

I actually found that site. Its a bit technical, but the levels are good to know. Currently I am back to normal and all is well. I did find out that the GH is only for freshwater as the salt interferes, so GH is kind of a non issue. KH is at around 150 now so I am satisfied everything is going to balance out. Thanks for reading and providing the link too, much appreciated!!
