is it ok to do a water change?

my tank has been up for about a little over a week now. i was wondering if i can do a water change or if i should wait till the cycle is complete?

Check the water condition with your test kits.

If there are fish present, I'd say yes to a water change during the cycle to keep them from dying. How often will be dictated by the water test kit results.
