What's the shelf life of the premixed salt water and fresh water bought from my local LFS? They put the water into 5 gallon reusable jugs if that makes a difference.

Keep the water moving via air pump or power head and you can keep it for weeks. I've read posts similar to this before and if I may, you'd be better off mixing the salt-water yourself (it will save you a lot of money over time).

I could mix it or I could just be lazy and go buy it. I choose lazy! And they don't charge that much. $1 per gallon for salt and 50 cents for fresh water.

I might eventually go with mixing and prepping my water myself but I'm still new to this and I'm trying to keep it simple. Not that there's anything simple about a salt water tank. heh
