Water blueing ??

when i bought my tank it came with bottles of dechlorinator and another bottle with a blue liquid inside it. It says it prevents fish disease. It says it can be used to repair fin disease like tears and rotting. I just want to know if it is really what it says it is. here's what it is:

Patience Tony. Sometimes it take the right member to sign on who can answer certain questions.
Does it have any ingredients?
Just a guess that it's methylene blue. Often times fish are shipped with this and you'll see it in betta cups at the store. Said to help prevent fungal infections.

If it is metheylene blue, its best not to use it in a main tank as it will destroy the cycle and stain the silicon in the tank blue.

If one of your fish gets sick move it to a quarantine tank to treat with this.

Lucy appears to be correct. According to their website (if Google translate is accurate... the English-language version is down for maintenance), it's just methylene blue.

Here are a couple of links worth reading, or you can Google 'methylene blue aquarium' and get a ton of results:

First I'd try to keep the water Pristine add some extra stress coat (or fish protector) and a couple drops of garlic juice and vita-chem.
Give the fins a chance to heal without meds.

I agree...give him 2 weeks of prestine water and stress coat with the other things lucy suggested, and he will be a new man...finding out why he has tears is important also....have you used the methleyne blue yet? if so, you are going to have to recycle that tank
