By me, it cost about $27.00 for a bottle (for tanks up to 75g). I have a 55g and used the whole bottle in mine.

ok so now I have a question regarding tetra safestart. I will be using that hopefully today if it comes I changed my water 50% last night and added prime and stress coat. My question is should i wait to add the tetra safestart? I had heard that safestart is the old bio spira.
This is soo confusing

I think steve answered my question. I should wait to use the safe start since I used prime lastnight. Right?

I used bio-spira about a year ago on my old 20 gallon tank and it worked great (until i sprung a leak and the fish died).

What you do is add the bio spira at the same time as your first batch of fish. When I did it I put 4 fish in the 20 gallon and waited a week and added 2 more then waited a week and added the last 2.

The tank was cycled in a week and I didn't lose any fish.

I was considering using it on my 29 gallon, but the LFS was out, so I cycled the old fashioned way.
