i have a newish 10 gallon.
when should i start doing the 15% water changes/cleaning the gravel? i'm thinking i should wait until the tank has cycled. am i right? also, once i start doing the water changes, should they be weekly? bi weekly?

if you're doing a fishless cycle, don't do water changes.. otherwise you'll need to do some water changes as the cycle progresses to keep the fish healthy, depending on where the ammonia, nitrites and nitrates are. If you're uncertain, then 15-25% a day until you can start testing would probably be safe.. watch the fish for any signs of reddish gills or them acting like they're needed to stay at the top of the tank to get air.
