Hi Darryll, 20% a week sounds good to me. Water changes really depend on whats in the tank. My Guppy grow-out tanks get 50% waterchanges every 2 days, but this because I feed them 5 times a day and want them to grow quickly. My 90gal Cichlid tank gets 20% twice a week, because it houses large fish that produce a lot of waste. My 2 40gals and nanocube only get 20% a week though, as these tanks are home to average sized fish,(Angels, Kribs, Acaras, BN Plecs, Adult Guppies), so they don't produce huge amounts of waste. Looking at your tanksize and stock, I'd say 20% a week is perfect.

Hello Darrell. In addition to Nicks great information, keep in mind your readings for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. If these readings get out of line adjust your water changes accordingly. Keep it fun!
