API Stress Coat+ AND Prime??

hi...I don't know when I use Stress Coat Plus, during a 50%wc, do I also use the Prime?

This is my first time using the API stress coat plus. thanks

You can use one or the other. I prefer Prime. Why are you doing a 50% wc?

A problem using the TSS ( another thread) and I have ammonia in my betta tanks, a 1.0 and .25 so I went with a 50% wc and stress coat also because one of my bettas has some fin thinning. thanks

ive been trying to find the thread that someone brought up about stress coat+....but I cant...and the reason is, it doesnt say on the stress coat+ bottle that it neutralizes nitrites ...it just says ammonia...so I was concerned about that but havent had a chance to call api and they havent answered my email that I sent last night...although most of us have used it for awhile while cycling, I really want to clear it up ....I hope things work out soon mare!!

Hi Shawnie,
looking at my own bottle of Stress Coat+ it says that it removes chlorine, chloramines & ammonia, it detoxifies heavy metals in tap water, but your right, I see nothing on it removing nitrites.

Mare wanted something to help with the thinning or it may have been a tear in one of the Betta fins that she was concerned about, I thought of Stress Coat and she picked up Stress Coat +. I also have a Mardel product called 'Ultra Shield, Fish Protector' that has aloe vera in it she could have used that as well, and then the Prime with her water changes.
She is very diligent in the care of her Betta's and is very concerned for her little one.

I agree kate shes very concerned and had so many troubles

sometimes we get ppl that really dont care and just do things because they want to..I know mare has the best of things and best of love for her fishies...I was just concerned where she was having a nitrite issue only, that I have been waiting on an answer from api but havent got one yet...I hope things look much better for her sooooooon! (we always talk about mare in the 3rd person LOL ..sowwy mare!!)

LOL.. well at the moment Mare.. is upstairs in the guest room where my wayward son is now staying ( another story).. and playing X-Box with him..

I laugh only because I never play those games.. she loves them and the chance to check out XBox.. well she couldnt pass that up. lol..
Her bf and my husband are playing cribbage.. and here I am in the forum.. ahhh ... nice evening! Hubby made us all a wonderful Chinese Dinner...
egg rolls, shrimp fried rice, gen Choe's (Sp?) chicken w/broccoli, crab ragoons and beef teriaki .... ugghhh.. Im so full! lol...
Poor Mare... I know... she is trying so hard and watches those tanks like a hawk at the first sign of problems shes either on the phone with me or in the forum.. shes got to relax! o o... Im prob get in trouble once she does come online and see's this post...

it was her!!!!!!! LOL ....I hope your day was faboo also and it sounds like it was....my girls were always into sports and never got into the xbox and video stuff...so I dont have a clue about any of it...but softball season keeps me busy!!!

for all the help. Murrays fins are a bit 'thin and whispy' on the ends. It doesn't look like it did a week ago. It shows some signs of 'stress and it can be from the ammonia (almost sure of it), and the water changes will continue until I can get the TSS on Tuesday and start that process again.

Yeppers Kate I watch my babies like a hawk..

let me rephrase that! Like a watchful concerned mother...

..sooo yaaa I like playstation2 and checked out xBox360

I got plenty of fresh air as a kid, I can play those games now..heehee
