Tropiquarium - New Jersey

Just wanted to let everyone in New Jersey (or around it) know about the fish store I found. The prices are a little higher than other stores, but I think it is worth it. Their tanks are pristine and I have never seen a dead fish in any of them. I even overheard them speaking with customers, trying to convince them not to buy certain fish because the tanks were too small or the fish were not compatible (in my experience most stores don't seem to do that).

Tropiquarium.

Ocean, New Jersey. Not Ocean County, Ocean Township.

Directions

From North on Parkway

Head South to Exit 105 which will put you on Route 36 East (you can only go one way.)
Take 36 East. Make right onto Route 35 South (make right at Monmouth Mall.)
After approximately 4.5 miles, we are in the Ocean Plaza Shopping Center.
If you pass Burger King, you've gone too far.

From South on Parkway

Head North to Exit 100A Route 66 East/Asbury Park.
Take Route 66 East to Asbury Park Traffic Circle.
Go 3/4 around the circle to get on Route 35 North.
Go to 2nd light jug handle across Route 35. You're on Sunset Avenue.
We are on the right in the Ocean Plaza Shopping Center.

Found that on their web site.

Wow Thanks!! I wish I would have seen this post 5 min earlier I just made an order with Drs Foster and Smith. I could have saved some money. But I will certainly go there since there are not any good LFS in Jackson.
Thanks again!!

Hey all you New Jersey fish guys. If anyone is familiar with Bergen county, the one that I go to is in South Hackensack called Reef Encounter. The staff is extremely helpful. The fish are always in great shape and they will usually ask a million questions to you before they agree to sell you a fish. If you go there ask for Sue or Nate and tell them Sal had sent you. I litterly live one block from the place and have made it my second home

Hi. I live in New Jersey and there's a pretty good specialty fish store in the Northern part of the state in Ramsey. Its on route 17. Called Fishtown USA. They have a really good selection for around here and are more knowledgeable than most. Also they are pretty close for anyone in Bergen or Passaic counties.

Btw, anyone in NJ selling a large fish tank?

it's 30 minutes from me also. Did you try it, what did you think? I'm looking for a good shop to frequent, maybe I'll take a ride up the parkway tomorrow and check it out.

this site is great !!
