| Hi reefdude! Call Fishy Business. I think they can give you some info on that.
Good luck with your reef. I had a reef set-up but, decided to go back to FW and try my hand at a planted tank. I actually still have sand in my aquarium . I hope to finish getting it out tomorrow so I can get my tank out side for cleaning. It's heavy!
Any hope this helps. |

| Hi there Candy803! I was thinking about asking Fishy Business, that's my LFS. I need to go back today or tomorrow to get a few things so I will ask them.
I had a 29 gal freshwater for 4 years or so and decided to try a reef tank. Alot of work but so rewarding! I'm only at the beginning, 1st cycle. I snapped some pics last night and hope to get them up soon. What made you decide to go back to FW? |

| My LFS is Animal Supply House in Irmo. Kevin the fish guy is awesome. If it were not for him, I would be going back to a 20g. I was going to give away my 75g reef. Instead, Kevin gave me store credit for all my live stock and LR. He also let's me ask him a million ? when I'm there! He has never steered me wrong. So, IMO he rocks!
When I went into SW i made the mistake of buying a complete set up (fish and all) out of the Trader. The tank (I know now) had been neglected. It had aptasia and green hair algea. I fought the both. A shrimp took cake of the aptasia. I had tried injecting with aptasia killer and lemon juice but, they shrink back into the rock. The shrimp worked great. The green hair algea was another story. I could always make my tank look really nice by pulling, cleaning but, I was never able to get it under control. It was a daily battle. One day I realized my hobby was not any fun anymore. I was going to quit completely but, I love aquariums and remebered the enjoyment I had with my sons FW. So, that's what I'm doing. I should also mention I had a trickle down filter with baffle ballls that evaporated a lot of water. If I were going to do it all over, knowing what I know now, I would start from scratch. |

| I think I've got some of the aiptasia on my live rock, not sure yet though. I posted some pics on my album to see if anyone might recognize it, theres another one also that looks like a daisy on a stem. Almost like a feather duster. I plan on getting a skunk cleaner shrimp next week along with some more naussarius snails and hermits. I popped 5 naussarius and 1 maragrita snail in there last night and they took right to it. I'm hoping if all goes well to be adding some coral in the next couple of weeks! Waiting sucks!!! |

| If you don't care about a bit of a drive, the Atlanta Area Aquarium Association meets once a month for meetings, fish auctions, picnics, etc. I'm a member, its great! I also know Dino, a FishLore member who I think lives near there, is able to go to every meeting, so it shouldn't be too hard. |

Thanks! |

| It's definitely worth it, the meetings are the first Thursday of every month and then there's some special stuff too.
Also, I just remembered, there's an actual Atlanta Reef Club too. You'd probably want that, since the AAAA is more centered around freshwater. I just can't say how good the ARC is. Check it out though, here's the website: http://www.atlantareefclub.org/ |

| My husband and I are members of ARC. It's a very large, active club with a ton of helpful folks, and a very helpful forum. You don't need to join the club to join the forum, but of course if you're willing to make the drive, the membership is totally worth it. Sponsor LFSs give you a discount too. |
