I really do not know where to start. The auction was last Sunday and we had a blast. My hubby loved the silent auction he just kept going around like a crazy man bidding on tanks and equipment and driftwood and I cant remember what else. I dont remember if we came home with 4 or 5 new tanks ranging from 20 on up to 55 with stands and the works. I would like to say we bought them but at the prices we got them for I feel like we stole them. I had the auction card and boy did I use it. I got a great big bag of Oak Leave water sprite that I have been looking for. A giant bag of narrow leaf java fern...some other plants but I will have to get my tickets to see what. Fish hummm I got a dozen gorgeous angels, a trio of half black pastel guppies, a group of Dino's green guppies, platies from Mike's tanks, more albino bristlenose babies to add to my other half dozen, a bag of mollies...Lord only knows at the red cherry shrimp I brought home...I know I am forgetting something. I did get a terra cotta dish with rainbow cichlid eggs on Sunday and the little buggars hatched on Monday now I have about a bizillion babies WOW they are amazing. I will post more later. I can see know I am going to have to get out my tickets to list everything. Needless to say we have been setting up tanks all week long literally. Thank goodness my hubby was off of work this week. I only thought my house looked like a fish store....now it definitely does except that the fish are all well cared for, without diseases, no dead fish in the tanks well you know what I mean. I will definitely go to every auction that comes anywhere near me and my hubby was asking when the next one was. I tell you the mans eyes were glazed over during that silent auction...LOL I will get back on tonight hopefully and post whatever I forgot. I have to say if you get a chance to go to an auction GO you won't regret it.

I took my camera like I promised I would but I was so busy bidding and just looking at everything I never took it out of my purse. Sorry folks I just did not have enough hands for it. I will get some shots of my new babies and all ASAP. My problem is getting the pics to upload....I am still on dialup where I am so it takes forever but I will work on it.

Oh, I understand about dial-up. We hung on to ours for years after everyone was zooming around the internet with dsl. lol
We live in a rural area and up until a couple years ago weren't able to get high speed without outrageous installation costs ($700.00)

I don't blame you for being too excited to take pics!

Well ATT promised me we would have high speed by the first of 2009....Okay where is it. I live in a very rural area and we do not have cable or high speed available to us. We could get satellite internet but I do medical transcription and the company I work for will not let us use that.

I loved those ATT commercials saying you could get their high speed everywhere.
Apparently everywhere didn't include rural Tn or rural Georgia. lol

Thank you that is my new baby I got for Christmas. Her name is Gemma and she is spoiled rotten. She is asleep on one of her beds under my desk as I type.

I have called ATT so many times begging them to get high speed out here. It is about 5 miles up the road but they just cant seem to get it any further. They makes lots of promises about it but that is about all they seem to do.

Dare I say I told you so? I'm glad you had such a great time. If you got some of Dinos green Moscow guppies they are truly amazing.
I believe the fall auction is in Sept and will be on a Saturday Start saving your money LOL

fairfax is about 3 1/2 hours from me, but that's a great link! my grandparents actually live near there as well as one of my aunts so i go there fairly often.

That is the club that hosts the All Aquarium catfish Convention every two years in Laurel Maryland. 2008 was the last one, I would give my eye teeth to be able to attend one of those

I am soooo jealous of you right now, lol! It sounds like you got a ton of great stuff. I can't wait to see the pics when you get around to posting them. It sounds like it was amazing! I haven't heard of anything like this near me, but I will keep my eye out for auctions close by

I bought two Kribs, 4 Black Kuhli Loaches, an Amazon Sword, and some Bacopa, all of which (besides the sword) is doing great!

Well still busy with all my new babies LOL. Fish Addict where were you...It was great wasn't it!!! It was loads of fun, lots of laughs, and just really great stuff at great prices. Hopefully I will be able to get on here and let you know the "real names" of some of this stuff. I got 6 and only 5 made it, I have never seen before and will have to look at the ticket to spell it...yeah it is one that is about 90 letters long that I am sure I cannot say.

Butterfly the ticket on the guppies says Dino's green guppies group. Do you think that is the Moscow guppies. These look blue/green to me. They are the fattest and I really mean fattest guppies I have ever seen and they are gorgeous. I tried to see if I could find some pics of Dino's guppies on here somewhere but no luck. Dino if you are out there what did you send to the auction?

And no I still have not loaded the first picture. I am still on dialup and it goes at a pace or slower. I guess I will have to bite the bullet and wait for an hour or so for pics to load so you can tell me what I have.

Most clubs have several auctions a year and some have small ones at each meeting.
Anybody else interested in finding a club fill your state in the search on the left side and see what comes up

Thanks for the info Carol. Tell Dino they are gorgeous and I now have some babies as of last night.

Fish Addict maybe we can meet at the next auction. I was on the left side standing by all the tanks. I did sit down a couple of times on the left but my excitement keep me up most of the time.

I was reading the post and boy , do i need to fix my tank, it , needs life , i have a pleco and a red fin , and a apple snail! It needs life ! If my filter is ok i plan to get fish one at time ! Have 75 gallon tank, that is freshwater !
