So I have in my 65 tank currently...
5 congo tetras
an african knife
bristlenose pleco
common whiptail pleco (sold as a farlowella cat, but he's not)
veiltailed angel
and one otto cat... ok let me explain
My sister's little tank crashed and she had one otto cat that made it so she asked if I could take him. So I did and he is in with my
betta and an african dwarf frog in my 10 gallon tank. So I had a algae/diatom problem in my 65 tank so I thought I would try a school of otto cats and move this guy over thier if they were happy. I had observed the african knife for several months before I bought him and he would not eat guppies (they multipled like crazy in his tank) so I thought it would be safe. They were fine, the knife didnt touch them. But they seemed to hate my tank. The stayed up in the top 5 inches all the time and wouldnt come down (it is 28 inches tall). So I netted them out and brought them back to the store but I couldnt catch one of them. He dove down and hid in my plants. So now I have one otto in my ten gallon and one in the 65 gallon. The one in the 65 is actually eating the algae and diatoms off the leaves of my plants now so I kinda dont want to take him out. What should I do... put the one in the 10 gallon in the 65? put the one in the 65 in the 10? or bring them both back (if I can catch the one in the 65 without tearing up my plants)? Or do like my boyfriend says and leave them both alone, thier fine
