Re: 37 Gallon tank

The dwarf loaches get along with the angels just fine, it's just the little skunk that there is a problem with, it seem to go after my large angel once in a while. I also know that a small school of yoyo loaches would do fine with angel(s) if you don't want to spend the money on the rare dwarves.

thanks Tom~ I probably wouldnt be able to find the dwarf loaches anyway. But I really like the stripe markings on the clown loaches. Maybe a few of them would be an option.
Eventually I will be moving the angels to their own tank and that will free up the 29g for ideas on what to stock it with.

I think you should read the 'before you buy clown loachs' post in the clown loach section.

HI Tom
I did go to the clown loach section and read up on them, and then decided that they were not for my tank. But I may be purchasing a used 55g set up in the next month and will reconsider them then.

Re: 37 Gallon tank

You still might want ot wait till you get an even bigger tank since they have the potential to grow to about 18" but usually grow to 6-12" in the aquarium.

That would be a nice tank for small schooling fish like tetras or barbs. Or even some silver dollars.

My goodness! My friend has had a 55 g tank for years and she has about two bala sharks, two HUGE silver dollars, and a few other larger fish that I cant remember what they are. Among those she has three tiger barbs and a few tetras. they all have plenty of room to swim around in, in that large tank. Small schooling fish like tetras or barbs would be lost in that tank!

Re: 37 Gallon tank

Unless you have a large(20-30) school of neons, that would look soooooo beautiful.

Nice combo! Are you planning to get your skunk loach a companion?

No, the skunk isn't with us any more. It died this morning in the net I had it in until I contacted the guy I take the fish that I want to trade.

I hate to say this but, I'm glad he died, he was attacking my angels and tetras too much. But it is still sad none-the-less, he had soo much personallity.

I didn't find that out until after purchase and the store was closing as we were leaving.

Well, I have decided that this tank is a South American tank since there are all fish from S.A. and 90% of the plants are from there too. They are from different regions in S.A. but S.A. none-the-less.

The rams seem to have been 2 males and 3 females. So I don't need to take any back.
