Well I don't know what you do and don't know. It just keeps changing with your decision with what you are going to get for your tanks.

Ok, now you're just rubbing it in . But, for now, if things stop happening to me, I'm going with a asian themed, planted, Betta tank. (Of course, things could change tomorrow! )

Does that make sense?

I only know all this info from what the breeder has said from their own experience.

Well, I am down to 5 fry right now, so I lost about 10-11 fry in about a week. I am sad, but I have a risk of only have about 25% of them to grow up to full size right now. I will keep you all posted on the 5.

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that Tom. I'm sure that the five that did survive have done so because of how well you take care of them. In the wild, they would have all been caviar by now.

In the wild, hundreds would die just so one can make it, so I figure it is ok to lose 10 out of the 50.

Just an update, the 5 fry I have are growing like crazy and are about 1/4" and are all free-swimming fry at the moment, but they sit on the bottom when they don't have enough energy or it gets dark in the room.

It wasn't humor. It was an actual question. Is the "sit[ting] on the bottom" a normal behavior with killi fry or do they need to be fed more, since you mentioned a lack of energy.

I think it is just because the fry get tired from swimming and sit on the bottom so they can rest. I guess I needed to re-word that.
