I have a cucumber in my tank right now. My gourami picks a little at it, the cardinals look at it with curiosity and the snail devours it. lol
I wish my cories would go for it, but they don't.
Be sure to remove it after 24 hours or it can muck up your water. |

Peas, use frozen, thawed shelled pea cut into bits the size of their eye. Lettuce leaf is fine.
You'll need to use a plastic clip of sort sort to weight down lettuce, zuch or cucumbers.
I put them on a wooden skewer, attach small chucks or slices, take out the seeds, and shove it into the substrate. |

OMG IM going to montreal next week lol
i use a small baby fork to hold down the cucumber for my CAE. I boil it for about 2 mins and then let it cool for about 10 then i stab it with the fork and let it sink into the tank. my goldfish bubba loves trying to eat it and the CAE just loves it.
ps- Je adore le poisson
i have alot of friends in mtrl and they taught me that |

| | Fish Keeper | As everyone says, it's not only safe, it's great for em. I used to use cucumber, and now I use zuchinni, the seeds from the cucumber got a little messy. I sometimes just microwave it to soften it, and then let it cool down, but recently I've stopped that. I think some things may depend on your fish. My fish go berzerk for the veggies, and so they'll go at it for days (I take it out usually after like 2-3 days, if there's anything left) and also, I sometimes use a veggie clip (a clip with a suction cup attached so it sticks to the glass) or sometimes I just drop it in and let it float. It doesn't matter to me or the fish either way. |
