Of my original 8 TB I only have 7 left. I did a lot of research on breeding them, and found that most people say 80 is the magic temp. Shortly after I started this thread I purchaseda 35 gal tank cheeeeeep. After it was setup with items from other tanks and well cycled by some
goldfish I added my barbs. After they were used to their new tank I started bumping the temp up slowly to 80. 1 of the younger males died 2 days after it was up to temp. It has been there for over a week now and the old female is still fat like she is full of eggs. Fri I purchased 3 young females at the pet store, and have them in a 2.6 gal
QT tank. When I am satisfied that they are healthy and ready to spawn I'll put them in the 35 with the rest of my barbs. I'm not sure what I am gonna do about the other female that I originaly thought was full of eggs though. Surely she is only fat, and has not been full of eggs this long without dropping them.
