tiger trouble

What kind of fish could I put with my tigers? Would other Cyprinids work? What about a dwarf Cichlid, like a Flag Cichlid (Aequidens Curviceps) or Kribensis?

i have flag cichlid, they are not very agressive at all, it would be fine, thanks for givng the scientific name, other wise it would get conufusing, flag cichlid is commonly used for festivums

I keep a school of 8 black neons and 5 tiger barbs. Love the tank (so much movement in every corner!), but the tigers are still on the aggressive side, so I'm thinking of adding one more. But Tetras go well with them, makes for an interesting and active tank.

Yea other schooling fish are okay, just nothing with fancy tails/fins. I wouldn't do Cichlids that get too big... (firebellies) Not a lot of people recommend doing cichlids with tiger barbs, but there are anomolies so do it at your own risk To be honest, if your tank has room for more fish, I would just keep 10+ tiger barbs in your tank, the bigger the shoal the better. a lot of places recommend 5-8 tiger barbs, which is BS in my opinion because they are much more exciting to watch in a large group and it gaurantees that they dont bother your other fish. plus on the bonus they will start their own gangs within the shoal and then it gets real juicy!
