Ok, im going to relocate either my tiger barbs or the slower fish. wich should I move? What would be good tank mates for the barbs?

i don't know how well they mix normally but i have 5 rosy barbs with my tigers (actually got the tigers to balance out a very aggressive male rosy [i know aggressive rosy = weird eh]) but they seem to get along great, although occasionally the male tiger nips one of their fins, they have been together for quite a while and seem fine

Mix all other barbs = ok given you have a good size tank. Tinfoils get rather large, I know mine will one day but i will have my new tank by then.

topdwellers (tetras and neons) I dont know which ones but no fancy tails and the topdwellers dont get in the way of the barbs

Bottom feeders - corys, redtail shark, plecos, loaches ... not the panda corys i heard tigers hate them, and only 1 redtail shark. Any pleco works, and clown loaches love Tigers, they even school with them.

But clown loaches get to be a foot in length. I can't keep them.

oh yea my bad, mmmm stick with other barbs sharks and bottom feeders then, I have a clown loach but i'm upgrading to a LONG 55G+ and getting like 2-3 more loaches when I do

I'm sorry, but this is not good advice.

A common pleco would be okay with tiger barbs, but they grow over 16" and need enormous tanks.

A bristlenose (or any other dwarf species) pleco would not be safe with Tiger barbs, so I do not suggest those.

A Red Tailed Black shark is a good suggestion.

Clown loaches get over a foot long, and no way can you keep several in a 55 gallon tank.

i guess they get pretty fat too, you know i have never seen fully grown clown loach so i guess i underestimate those suckers....

*** Yea I take that back after doing more research, these suckers need awfully big tanks to school, and do get rather long and girthy. Looks like I better add more to my fish fund to get a 75G +++ if I want to keep this thing, and make a school of them
