I have had my RIO 125 with 4 tiger barbs, one green barb and four zebra danios for nearly a year now. I have recently set up another tank for Blue Rams.

I was told by my lfs that the multi pack of frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia and white mosquito that I bought yesterday can be fed to my new Blue Rams in one tank and also my tiger barbs in my other tank as a treat - I am guessing once a week instead of the flakes.

Is it correct that Tiger Barbs can be fed all of these?

The Tiger barbs will love this frozen food, although the daphnia is really only suited for very small fish, since it's tiny.

Barbs do eat anything, but should be given a wide variety of foods for best health and vibrant colours.

I only feed flakes a couple times a week. The rest of the time, I feed frozen.

Thank You for your opinion my barbs look all bloated now after bloodworms which is the first time they have had them

How many worms did you feed? I feed 5 cherry barbs and 5 neons and just put about 1/4 cube.

Barbrella, I fed them 1/2 a cube it was just one Tiger Barb eat more than the other and he/she is already the biggest

I love watching my tiger barbs especially when they chase after food.

Tiger Barbs are omnivores; as Barbrella mentioned they should be fed a wide variety of foods to maintain a balanced diet. I don't see any reason why you couldn't feed them the frozen mix you have. As you know, they're little piggies and will eat you out of house and home if you let them. I would feed it more than once a week. Mine get tropical fish flake every morning and either blood worms or brine shrimp in the evenings and they seem to be doing really well.

Devon, I will be mixing it up a little with flakes and frozen food most days - fish have never had it so good
