it depends. are you breeding them, or is this a hypothetical question? Either way, if you separate them from the parents, the majority (about 75%) are alomost guaranteed to survive in a tank all their own with plenty of aeration anf filtration.

i plan on breeding them, i want to try and sell them and use the money to fund my fish obsession lol so you're telling me that 75% of 300 eggs laid will survive?? so i should end up with 225 fish if 300 eggs are laid and i take good care of them

typically, a good number of them. 75% is what i almost always ended up with with my old tetras

well dang. if i breed them in a 20 gallon tank, will they all fit?

some of them will die off, and definately, if you haven't already separted your parents from the main tank into the twenty, and you're planning on collecting the eggs after the spawn, then the parents or other fish will definately take a nibble at them. Otherwise, they should be able to. Your LFS (not the big chain stores like Petsmart and such) will take them off your hands, or you could keep some and sell the others to friends. Do whatever you'd like!..
