i changed 4 gallons of mt 10 gallon tank today because the nitrites were high 5.0 to be exact. and i go out for the day and when i came home i had 4 tiger barbs on the bottom of my tank with what looked like exploded bellies. I have one left but he isnt looking good alsdo a golden gourami who seems just fine as well as a blue crayfish who i suspect of eating the barbs after they passed. so i checked my water immediatley when i got home.

the water i changed with was declorinated with prime and was about 1 degree off from tank water .9 to be exact they were my first fish im so sad

Not sure about the exploded bellies thing. I would test your tap water, it occasionally happens that you get nitrites and nitrates out of the tap water.

actually i tested again anf nitrites are 2 in my tank so things are going the right way still im worried
