| Tee Hee!!! New Tank!!
So yesterday, my father was driving me home from swim practice, and we were listening to Michael Jackson's "BILLIE JEAN" on the radio. My dad told me that he thought the lyric:
"But the child is not my son"
sounded like
"Be jealous, not my son"
and I said to my dad "He says, 'But the KID is not my son'". And we argued our way home over what the real lyrics were. My dad became SOOO frustrated with me, he said "I'm willing to buy you your last aquarium [for a betta] if the lyrics are what you say, but if you're wrong, extra housework for the nest two weeks."
...
I'm getting a 2.5 gallon tank tomorrow 
oh, and I did some rearranging of my fish so each betta gets their own tank, and the tanks will be stocked as follows (starting tomorrow):
2.5 gallon [old] - 1 female betta (Kairi)
2.5 gallon [new] - 1 male betta (Quint)
5 gallon [dividers removed] - 5 exclamation point rasboras (more coming soon!) |

| my dad is one of those "I'm 'always' right" kinda dads... so he kinda put himself up to that. what was great about it is that he is blissfully unaware that's one of my favorite songs

| lucy don't get your hopes up now... no newbies, just a new tank. Quint is in a guppy box right now in my big tank and is waiting for his tank which will be cycled with established media
You see, the 5 gallon was divided, but one side was growing algae reallly bad, probably because there was not proper circulation. I moved Quint to a temp. home, and swapped out the rasboras and the female betta. So the rasboras are in the 5 gallon, Quint will go in the new tank, and Kairi is in the old 2.5 gallon.
Oh, and all algae growth has ceased since the divider was removed  | |

| The 5g's at Wal-Mart are comparable in price to the 2.5's. Around here, they're like $30 with hood, light, filter, and outside thermometer.

| Just found out, Minibow (TM) was bought by Aqueon. Had to go to Petsmart for the tank. It's set up right now, and presumably cycled (i used ALOT of stuff from my other tanks), but i will get it tested just to be sure. I used my Prime, and I plan to move a couple more plants over from my other tanks to aid in the whole "instant cycle" thing...
