I don't know what I'd be doing wrong.

ammonia nitrite and nitrate are 0, 0, 20 respectively.

Zebra danios, not the best experience for me. Started off with a group of 5, lost 3 over a period of 5 months, bought 2 more, lost one the next week.

Now I have 4, but two aren't doing so well, and I'm worried about the other 2. Danios are hardy fish, correct? So while my platies continue to successfully have their litters, and the most sensitive fish in my tank (the honey gourami) continues to thrive, the danios are dying with the drop of a hat.

Am I just getting bad danios? I got them from my LFS. or is something wrong with my tank? I figure if something was wrong with my tank, my gourami would be the first to know...

im sorry for your loss unless it was a huge pH shock(tap water ph different than tank water with water changes), id say you have a bad batch..no signs of any sickeness? or bullys?

nope. always the same water source and the ph is not modified.

the danios would act lethargic before death, but no noticeable signs of disease or anything, and the only bullying was pecking order.
