Tetra Dilemma

I had 4 tetras--2 glowlights, 2 neons--in with my female betta, panda cory, otocinclus, and ghost shrimp in a ten gallon tank. The tetras were peaceful and happy until about two weeks ago, when they spontaneously began to fin-nip and eventually killed both my male and female betta.

They have been in a temporary tank for a few days, and it's not big enough for them to stay in long-term. I want to put them back in the ten-gallon with the new female betta and the rest, but I am worried about them hurting her like they did the others.

Should I put them back in, or try to give them a seperate tank?

bettas are fish that belong in a tank alone...after your experience with them, I would think you wouldnt want to go that route again?

my answer is no tetras do not belong with bettas...epeically in a small tank like 10-20 gals

I agree with Shawnie. It was heart breaking to hear what happened the last time.
Please learn from that and don't mix them.

I was extremely hesitant to, but your guys' words have solidified it. Not gonna mix them again, obviously. Looks like the tetras will be getting their own home and some more roomies

Edit: By new roomies, I meant more tetras and not the other fish I own xD
