Will a diamond tetra school with a serpae tetra? I want to get both andI think it it woul be cool to see them school. I think I want 4 diamonds and about 7 serpaes to restock my tank.

When it comes to schooling fish, similarly shaped and/or colored fish will shoal together. For example, neon tetras and black neon tetras have been know to school with each other because they are both slender, about 1.5 inches long, and have similar color patterns (not coloration, but the lines on their bodies).

Serpaes and Diamonds have no similar color patterns or coloration, but are both the more "tetra" shaped fish. Chances are, they will shoal, but its no guarantee
