Will small tetras school together?

I'm thinking of converting my 29G tank into a tetra tank. My stocking list is as follows:
1 BN Pleco
3 Serpae Tetra
3 Congo Tetra
2 neon tetra
2 Glowlight Tetra
2 Black Neon Tetra

I know these are all schooling fish, except for the pleco haha. I currently have the serpaes and BN. The serpaes are relatively docile and stay to themselves, so I think they will leave the Congo's alone. Would this be ok? Would the 6 "smaller" tetras (glowlight, neon, and black neon) school together? I know it would be a little overstocked. Any opinions on it? All advice welcome! Thanks

it depends mostly on the fish themselves and their personalities, not the species but yes I have seen different tetras school together.

I've read that if they're the same size and shape such as the neons, black neons and glowlights, that they'll school.

I don't see that you'd be overstocked.

1 x 4" for BN
3 x 2" for Serpaes
3 x 3" for Congos
2 x 1.5" for Neons
2 x 1.5" for Black Neons
2 x 1.5" for Glowlights

Thats 26" of adult fish...using the one inch of fish per gallon rule, that puts me at 26 gallons. I'm in the process of planting moderately and adding some hopefully two driftwoods. So that should take up the other 3 gallons. I know that Congos like pristine water with a peaceful community. Thats not too much? Do you think they will be compatible together?

ps...how can i change my display name?

IMO, the number of fish are fine. You may run into issues if they don't school together, so just keep your eye on things.
Like fishlover78 said, sometimes it depends on the fish's disposition.

Do you mean you'd like to change your user name?
