cause of death?

hi, what would cause a Rummy Nosed Tetras death if he seemed fine in the tank at the pet shop, the tank is well cycled, there were no signs of whitespot or any unusual movements? would it just be stress?

I'm really sorry you lost your fish.

It could very well be stress or an illness that hadn't shown symptoms yet, it's hard to say.

28C is pretty high, were you fighting ICH? With temperatures that high, it would be a good idea to increase aeration....the higher the temp, the less oxygen in the water.

Did you test the water after your fish passed?

I would think that your fish has just been too stressed out.

Have you did a water test lately? and do you have any live plants?

My fishes are fine, and I have live plants now that the salt poisoning is gone, everything has returned back to normal

Try getting some long tall, and possibly some bushy plants so then the rummy nose tetras can find some place to hide, sleep, or just calm down.

Usually, that is what I usually do in my tanks.

kool, thanks for the advice, i think i'll need to get a bushy plant so my 1 cardinal tetra can survive and calm down. i lost both my rummy nose tetras and 1 cardinal tetra

i did a water change not last night but the night before and i tested the water last night and it's saying about .08 ammonia and 0 nitrite.
i added a little bit of Prime and i'll test the water again tomorrow.
