What tetra should I get?

I am eventually doing the 15g all planted, with the 3 Ottos. I would like to add a nice not too aggressive tetra to the tank.
I have have kept: Black skirts, Lemons, Diamonds, Neons, Glowlights, Black neons, Silver tips and buck toothed.
Which ones would be good for a 15g? I like the neons b/c of the blue & red...they look awesome in a planted out tank....but anything else?
What about black phantoms (on sale at our lfs for $2.88)...they don't get as big as the black skirts but do they fight as much as black skirts do with each other?
Which one to do you tetra lovers recommend? I will see what other species are available here and see if I can find info on them.
Any suggestions for the 15g would be appreciated.

How about cardinal tetras instead of the neons? And for the other tetras, how about emperor tetras, or red blue columbian tetras, or pristella tetras? Those are all great tetras.

Neons are $5-7 each here and Cardinals are like $12....that would be the only thing stopping me. Would 5 or 6 be okay? I love all the ones you've suggested.
My 4 diamond tetra hated the 15g, but they spent most of their lives in the 120g...so they were probably just a bit poed to be in such a small tank lol.
Anyone have experience with the black phantoms?

Had I gone with a tetra in my tank, it would have been rummynose or bleeding heart. Have you considered either of those?

We do get a a lot of 5/$5 sales with neons here. But not in awhile.
I believe they mark up the fish much more than they should at this particular pet store.

Wow, $12. Here the cardinals are the same price as the neons, which is like $3-4 each. But that makes sense for the price. But I still like the idea of columbian tetras, or emperor tetras.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I can't wait until this parasite business is all over with...so we can have nice tanks with healthy fish.
I have a few quarantine tanks set up for when the time comes.

Yehp I got a bit of experience with them.

1. DON'T KEEP THEM WITH OSCARS!

2. Give them an amount of food that they can finish within 30 sec to 1 min.

Also, I do water changes every 3 days, and siphon the tank at least once a week.

I have a lot of plants in my tank, and they are live so they can help absorb the nitrate and nitrite levels in my tank

Also, when you first get them, they could be shy just give them a few hrs to a day or two, and then they should be fine.

I bought some Rams they are non aggressive that is why I can keep them in with my angels and other community/semi-aggressive fishes
