alright, so i got 1 dwarf gourami and 7 ghost shrimp in my 10 gal now. I was looking around today and I noticed the neon tetras and glo-light tetras. I thought that it would be neat to have about 5 of them guys in my tank. but my questin is, is there any real or big difference between the two besides their color? (I have so many ideas going through my head on what other fish I get, but i just cant make up my mind!)

neons are known schoolers and swim with all members in a near-constant manner
glowlights tend to mingle and do not actively shoal

neons grow to about 1.2"-1.5" at the max
glowlights grow to about 2"

neons are electric blue, silver, and blood red
glo-lights have a copper band and are transluscent

neons can be delicate, but live to be about 10 years old with quality care
glo-lights are very hardy, but live to be about 4 years with quality care


overall, I'd have to go with neons. granted, they are a little delicate, but these are worth purchasing if you give them good conditions to live in. A school of five is perfect
