My Blue Tetra's...

IT is hard to find any information on them on the internet it seems, but can anyone here give me some general information on these little guys? I have some, and they are doing quite well, but still, I want to learn more about them... Including, possible non-tetra tank mates. Thanks.

if they look like a blue version of a neon, they can be called Kerri tetras, blue emperor tetras or royal tetras

Your not the only one with some of those pretty fish. Another member was also asking for information on them.

Hello and welcome to fishlore
The Blue Tetra can grow up to 5.5cm. They like a temperature range of 68-78*. They are an active, peaceful shoaler that comes from Southern Brazil. Soft, slightly acid water is recommended. This is the general information on them. They are a peaceful fish that gets along with its tankmates, so you should try to include any fish that are generally peaceful as well in with them.
I do not know the size of the tank that you have them in and how many so really do not feel that I can suggest which fish would be good to add without the rest of the information to go by. But you get the general idea..
Good luck with them, they are great little active fish.

My Blue Tetra's

Thanks all for the info, and to reply to the last dude that replied to my question; They are in a 55 gallon tank, with one neon tetra, 2 black phantom tetra's, and a pair of the Blues. *Smacks head*, Yeah, I know it is a bit of a no-no for me to have so few, since all tetra's are active schooling fish. I actually used to have 4 neon's, but three of them died, due to unknown causes... I'm still investigating. I'm actually getting some more money soon, so I'll be able to put in a few more tetra's to make complete schools, and I'm going to be putting in a mechanical filter soon, because as of now, I only have an undergravel/bio filter. It does a great job, but still, I just don't feel like I'm being the best fishkeeper I can be, unless I have a good mechanical filter as well. Thanks All. - Peace.
