I came in to look at my fish today and have now noticed that the roof of one of my black skirts has been torn/eaten whatever you can call it. It has come off, all I see is pink and can just tell that it is off, i have a feeling though that this is fighting. Maybe the lip lock fighting thing, i dont want them to fight. Sometimes I see them circle around each other quickly or chase one away.. But the fish im talking about I can see pretty much see right into its mouth. I am seeing the fish with the "broken lip" being chased away from the main part of the aquarium and left to sit alone at the bottem, seems like he is gulping water, im afraid he/she may die. I dont like being in these types of situations, please if anyone can be any help suggest anything. I do have Melafix would that be any help? thank you very much

Oh, so sorry to hear about your fish!

I am not sure on the melafix, that isn't a medication I have tried.
Do you have a way to isolate the fish? Like a breeding net, or a hospital tank? That might help keep it safe from any further harm.
