Hi all! I have a 29 gallon freshwater, including 7 Black Skirted Tetras, and 2 Leopard Danios(yes leopard) <-- I am never getting them again! I started out with 4 of those and two died of unknown causes. I did test my tank after those deaths and it was fine. Do you all think I am overstocked?? I sure hope not because I am planning on getting some Bleeding Heart Tetras, or a catfish or two, maybe another fish? Would I still be overstocked if I got rid of the leopards? Also would you all recommend any fish? Thanks all.

you should be fine if you leave the danios in, if you are talking about the tetras that I am thinking of, then they will take up about 21" of your total 29 and the danios will take up 4" of the remaining 8. If I were you, I would add some otos and corys and maybe take out the danios.

This is kindof short notice but I went today and got some Flame Tetra (Orange Von Rio Tetra). They get 1.5" max. And Black Skirts get 2" max. I guessed about 1.5" for the Leopard Danios not sure.. Here are the calculations: Flame tetra- 1.5" x 5 = 7.5" Black Skirts- 2" x 7 = 14"
Leopard Danios- 1.5" x 2 = 3" TOTAL: 24.5" of tank used. I was admiring the Otto catfish though I was thinking a little later since I do not have any algae yet. Today I looked at my Black skirts and noticed one of them had a chunk missing out of his top fin (like the sail fin sorta). I was disgusted, I think it was one of the leopard danios. Good suggestions you had there. :]
