is there ANY viable alternative

...to the API liquid nitrate test kit? Or will they all end up dislocating your elbows as you shake them up?

I will keep using it if I have to, but if there are any work as well without bodily harm I'm all for it!

That #2 bottle is a pain, isn't it? Whack it on a table a few times.

I think other members have used different liquid kits, maybe they'll have recommendations.

There are other brands of liquid test kits, but they likely rely on the same reagent.

I think there are electric meters that are very accurate. They also cost hundreds of dollars apiece, and only test one or two parameters.

I've got a nutrafin test kit and it's the same. You need to shake.
Are you talking about shaking the bottles or the actual water and "stuff" for the test?

O, I was speaking of shaking bottle number two into oblivion and then the shaking of the test tube after.

But if my alternative is something costing 100+ then I think I'll just accept the bone jarring, lol.

lol yeah it can definitely be a pain can't it if you have kids or family or a significant other that lives with you they're always SO helpful with that kind of stuff

my roommate is great at chemistry so she really enjoys that kind of stuff, she helps me with testing a lot
