API test kit prices?

At my LFS the API master kit was £30 (around $50) i thought that was VERY expensive, so i brought the ammonia test for £8 and strips for the nitrate/ite

was wondering what the prices are like everywhere else in this wide world

The local petco has it at $40, but a LFS who I trust has it for $30.
I love the store- they have everything for cheaper than the chains (A ten gal set up with all equipment for $50) Their fish are always healthy and each tank has its own HOB filter, so there is no cross-contamination. Plus their marine tank is gorgeous.

I'm planning in getting the test kit from the store this weekend- my little tank I'm having to re-cycle has just hit 0 ammonia, and I don't have a nitrite test XD.

JACK
What/who is your LFS?

As you're in the UK, you may be interested to know that I got my master kit from Pets at Home for about £18.99 ~

umm, don't use strips, they are hard to read and usually inaccurate. and the local stores here are way more expensive then the chains, a 10 gallon costs $30 at the LFS, and our walmart sells them for $10, big difference, and the rest of the items are similarly priced.

I got my SW kit for about $18 from drsfostersmith.com, and I believe the FW test was around the same price as well.

just looked at my LFS and it was $35 (didn't buy it because that is expensive) but maybe I am seeing that that is pretty normal for a pet store

Master FW kit from API is $39.99 CAD at most lfs. I originally bought each test separately ($9 - 14 each) and not sure yet if I'll just continue to do that or get the master kit (they all run out at different times...)

I couldn't find the master test kit at any of the LFSs or chains. So while I was paying visits to LFSs I would buy kits individually from the different stores.
