I FINALLY GOT A TEST KIT. I tested my waters in both my tanks everything at zero except nitrates. nitrates in 10 gallon are at 20 and in the 29 gallon there at 80. My question is, are the nitrates in the 29 gallon a little to high, if so how do I bring that down?

20 or less would be better.........

If you have live plants 20 is good. If not then the less the better. Water changes and live plants are the best way to lower them.

80 is definately way too high. A reading of 20 is acceptable although not ideal. Do 50% water changes every few days until it goes down.
