Will a tank cycle faster with the temp increased? I am just curious. It seems like Ive heard that the bacteria will colonize quicker if the temp is increased..... It just happens that my 125 is on the warm side to say the least right now......I was just testing out how dual 200w stealths would maintain the temp and I cranked them up......before I lower them back down I figured I would see if I could use the high temps to my advantage.....

You could use temps up to about 85 I wouldn't go higher than that...

The main thing is to keep feeding it ammonia during the entire cycle process every 12 hours....even after nitrite is there, you have to feed the ammonia to keep those bacteria alive and multiplying....Good Luck

I went ahead and lowered them back down to about 80-82 deg.

It was at about 86-88 it was quite warm...lol. I was impressed how well the stealths maintained temp..... I just wanted to be sure those to heaters would keep up with 125g before I got fish involved.

I guess I need to seed this tank.......Im not looking forward to digging gravel out of my other 2 tanks and putting it in panty hose and such......just sounds like alot of work. lol
