After about three weeks, my blonde naso tang is ready to be picked up tomorrow on Friday. It's going to be about 2-3 inches long so it's still a little juvenile. It cost me $85 bucks.
I know that's overpriced, but I only trust the shop that I bought it from for fish because the owner is a marine biologist, handpicks the fish, quarantines them. I all so asked them a few test questions and they seem they know what they're talking about.
I hope it's a male because when it gets bigger, males usually has streamers. (I've heard somewhere that they're all born male, but I might be mistaken)
Although the fish has been in quarantine, I'm still going to leave him in my 65 for 1-2 weeks just in case.
sorry to disappoint everyone, but today was the last day for the fish in their quarantine tank and the LFS told that the fish died. They said all of their fish from the shipment with the tang suddenly died. They said a new one will be ready on monday
It's been delayed until they get a new batch. not on Monday. I always quarantine my fish for 2 weeks even though it's been quarantined from another reefer or the store.
The store said it'll be ready in two-three weeks I was so exited and was just waiting to go home and as soon as I got home, the LFS left a message.
So that means I'll have to delay my Kole tang (or a Tomini, can't decide) because my 65 will have to be the Quarantine for the naso
I meant that they check the people that they get the fish from, but some times they go to places and get their live stock in person.
Before I just buy stuff at a LFS I usually ask the owner some random questions and I usually watch their display tank and their live stock for any diseases and the guy I buy fish from seem to know a lot. He showed me his quarantine tank, filtration system(really impressed), etc. Turns out that he's a marine biologist.
I see, I was wondering casue one of the LFS I go to she literally drives there and hand picks the fish her self and brings them to her store. I love the fish she gets, they are really nice. Not too long ago she had a paired Blond Naso Tangs that where so beutyfull that were around 5" each. She had them for $85 each, not bad but I cold not afford nor did I had the room for them. I got a Powder Brown Tang that is the most beutyfull fish I had. She has a powder blue that I might get this weekend, but not sure about that will have to see.

That's not a bad price for a pair. Powder tangs are really beautiful. I like the blue ones. Post a pic when you get one . I went to Petco to get some cat food, but I couldn't resist, but to look at their saltwater section. I feel so bad. They have a powder brown tang eating a dead angelfish and they all so had a few bubble tip anemones under normal lights .
Yeah, some stores don't adequately keep their fish. It's buisness to them not a habby. Here is the Powder Brown, as you can see it got a little stressed out but he is fine now. I upgraded this tank to a 120 now so this particular tank it's not sunning at the moment.
Also note that this is not the most recent vidoe of this tank, it's the one I took when I added the Powder Brown.

How is it now?

Update:
I'm getting the blond naso tomorrow. The guy at the store all ready showed it to me at the store's quarantine and it looks so nice . I can't wait. It'll be about $110 and it's about 3 1/2 inches long.
Well it got upgraded to a 120 for now and will redo the 55 gallon. If you want I can try and post one of the two videos I got. I might upgrade the other 55 gallon soon also (I am thinking of a 135 for that one). Sad to say O lost two fish on the move though, the Mimic Tang and the Powder Brown Tang. I was so mad cause they were doing great eating great and taking well to the 55. Now that I think about it I might have moved them too soon. I should have waited a few moths before moving them to the 120.
