Tang or not Tang?

Im aware a 40 gallon tank is too small for tangs but i was planning on getting a 4 inch one and when it gets too big i could take it out and trade it with my uncle for another fish. Overall this seemed ok, but i think my tank may be too crowded with rock for a tang to be able to free roam (look on my home page for a a video of the tank right now). But of course its near impossible to get some fish out of a tank. I was going to get it because all of my other fish are generally small (usually under 3") and for an algae grazing fish. I dont believe i need that last feature because ill be getting 3 blennies (and if im lucky keeping all of them) which ive learned graze on algae. So i basically want a centerpiece fish, maybe with some functionality, that IS reef friendly (soft, hard, everything). So what fish matches this description? (the fish doesnt need to be huge it just needs to be able to fit in a 40 gallon. I can eliminate some fish off my list which you can see on my other stocking list question)

THANK YOU

Hi, smileyfish...I have merged your duplicate threads into one. It is generally better and less confusing for all involved to keep the same question in a single location.

The kole tang should be ok, but it may be a bit territorial when you first add a new fish, but as more fish are added they will all setlle down

ok, well the fish i got was medium sized so its 1.5-3 inches so i figure its not a baby so it might have a better survival rate but its not large so it wont feel like the most dominant
